When your offense struggles go to small ball


Softball term meaning bunt or slap hit the ball. Get the ball on the ground and force the defense to execute. Rushed plays often create errors.

In game two we were down 2-0 late and led off the inning with a double. We should have moved that runner along by bunting or grounder to the right side. Then a fly ball to the outfield can get us a run. We didn’t do this and the runner was still on second.
